Preservation Series PS01 , this blanket is expertly dyed, woven and hand-finished in our American mills. The pattern was inspired by a Navajo serape blanket from the early 1800s. It combines simple striped and terraced design elements with a color scheme suggesting Rio Grande Valley influence. Based on an original weaving in The Durango Collection®, Center of Southwest Studies Collection. Each blanket generates a donation to the Native American arts, education and health. The crosses represent Spider Woman, a powerful teacher and benefactor in Navajo legends. Based on an original weaving in The Durango Collection®, Center of Southwest Studies Collection.
