We are excited to announce that since Christmas 2022 we have been stocking a brilliant local brand, An’du. 

A small mother/daughter run company in East Sheen, An’du was born out of the desire to produce high quality hair care with minimal impact on the environment. A combination of cutting edge, green technology and careful design has resulted in An’du producing the first ever solid shampoo and conditioner bars that contain bio-surfactants. Bio-surfactants are ultra-mild cleansers manufactured through the process of fermentation. They are classed as postbiotics. Trials of postbiotics have shown them to have a beneficial impact on the scalp*.  These health benefits include acting as an antioxidant, positively affecting the host’s immune skin barrier, helping damp down inflammation, and improving  pH level of skin.**

Throughout their range, the products have the same underlying principles; vegan, cruelty free, plastic free, sulphate, phalate and silicone free, pH balanced and plant based. The packaging is compostable and made with vegetable dyes, it is also linked to the World Land Trust giving carbon balanced paper which allows the WLT to protect critically threatened tropical rain forests.
